IGCSE French: Food and Drink (Part 5): At the delicatessen

(0)
Students who are studying the IGCSE French course need to know the names of various delicatessen items served at the delicatessen, which gives the students a deeper insight into French cuisine. Before working on this workbook, it would be an idea to buy a variety of different French cheeses and breads for the students to sample, unless they have any specific dietary requirements or allergies. The activities are very well sequenced and they are also tailored to students of IGCSE level which includes listening, reading comprehension and writing in addition to open questioning. For the spot the difference activity, this could be used as an oral activity, assisting the students as necessary. They can write their answers down following the oral element of the activity. This resource contains: 1 workbook 1 transcript for the listening activity 1 sound file for the listening activity Happy teaching and learning!

Cambridge IGCSE French: Listening activity workbook 2015 edition

(0)
I have developed this resource from having designed my own worksheets from the Cambridge IGCSE textbook (2015 edition) into a workbook. The listening activites follow the whole book from units 1-15 and most of them are differentiated between lower level and higher level activities, however as the book progresses, the less the lower level activites become available as I strongly encourage my students to undertake the same level of work upon entering the second year of the IGCSE programme, as the examinations are going to be at the same level. Before you purchase this resource, please note that these resources are designed from and follow the Cambridge IGCSE 2015 edition and the NOT the newest 2017 edition. When buying this resource, please make sure you already have access to the Cambridge IGCSE French listening files 2015 edition, as this resource does not include the listening files and it is against copyright for me to upload them. Happy teaching and learning!

French: Blockbusters - IGCSE Grammar

(0)
This game is an excellent way of revising grammar and it is specifically tailored at IGCSE level, however it can also be used to revise grammar at A-Level also. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this game, basically the class is divided into two teams. If a team gets a question right (on whatever topic) they place their coloured hexagon over the topic and they can pick another question. If they get a question wrong, the other team will have a chance to answer. The first team to get their coloured hexagons in a line either horizontally or diagonally, wins the game! This pack contains the game board and questions from each topic! Keep an eye out for my resources as I will be soon publishing more differentiated questions for students of a stronger ability!

French: Relative pronouns (Lower level: Eric, le garçon qui rétrécit {Eric, the shrinking boy})

This resource significantly explores a wide range of relative pronouns at IGCSE French level which cover: - qui - que - qu’ - où - dont - ce qui - ce que - ce qu’ - ce dont - prepositions followed by lequel/lesquels/laquelle/lesquelles Because of the complexity of their functions, it is compiled in the theme of a story about a young shrinking boy who accidently mistook a magic potion for a drink and his parents and friend try to find him. This activity includes plenty of relative pronoun practice before reading the story, a wide range of vocabulary, multiple choice answering through the story and plenty of translation exercises after reading the story. This activity is suitable for IGCSE level French and also good revision for A-Level French. This is a lower level version and a higher level version will be available soon. IGCSE French:Vocabulary and Grammar Workbook (extracted from Cambridge 2nd edition textbook [2017])

(0)
I spent four years creating this resource and it is now finally published! This resource is a workbook which explores the vocabulary and grammar exclusively extracted and followed from the Cambridge IGCSE French textbook second edition (published in 2017) and most of the third edition (published in 2019). The latter may have some differences regarding the order of the contents of the book which may not appear in this resource, but it does exclusively follow the second edition. Moreover, the activities are extensively differentiated. The contents of this resource cover all of the topics covered in the 2017 textbook, EXCEPT for ’ C6.1 - trouver son chemin’, ‘C6.2 - Ca se trouve où, sil vous plait …?’, ‘C6.3 - Pouvez-vous expliquer exactement …?’, ‘C9.1 - On se deplace’ and ‘D4.1 - Je vais leur téléphoner’. Please do keep an eye out for the accompanied listening workbook, also extracted from the 2017 textbook edition, in which the listening activities have been modified and extensively differentiated. It will be uploaded very shortly. Happy teaching and learning!

French: The imperfect tense: All four parts for only £10!

4 Resources
This bundle consists of all four parts of the imperfect tense which is explored at Key Stage 3 and 4 level. The imperfect tense can generally be a very challenging tense to master, however these resources fundamentally explains all of the functions of the imperfect tense. Because the imperfect tense is so broad and very dynamic, I have devised the resources up into four parts, which are as follows: Part 1: Avoir and Etre - Describing age and a past experience Part 2: Regular verbs - Describing what one was doing or what was happening in the past Part 3: Irregular verbs - Talking about habitual or repetitive actions in the past Part 4: Reflexive verbs - Talking about simultaneous actions in the past Each of the resources provide many examples of each of the functions in the form of stories, quizzes and follow-up activities. Happy teaching and learning!
